Resistor and capacitor install questions.

Post by SIMPLE4012 »

Hey guys...i just got my s200 with basically every option and am installing it into my p28. Have a question though. The capacitors and resistors. Which ones are needed or not needed for a p28? I called hondata and spoke to a tech and he said that some arent needed. Just curious. Also, if i lose a capacitor or resistor can i simply go to a local electronics store that carries them and buy the same uF or do i have to buy them from hondata direct? because i went to radio shack and the same uF item looked different then what i had so i didnt wanna buy it and install the wrong product.....thanks guys

P.S....the issues i have are with R54, C51 and C52 for reference.

I have a P72 and 3 weeks ago I install the S200. I talk with Hondata and he say that the C51 and C52 are not used, he say that this are for old models.

c51 & c52

It is not strictly necessary to install c51 & c52. We've only see one case where an ECU would not work without these, and the issue only occurred while using an emulator.

So, if my ECU already has these installed, should I remove them or just leave them?
