Tplate table issue on 08 at

Post by bian.yy »

Hi Hondata
After I read this link I feel mine is the same issue like s2000.

viewtopic.php?f=29&t=19370&p=97093#p97093

when I change low throttle pedal area from 1:1 to 1:0.45 for better traffic Jam smooth driving, car shift from 1st to 2nd at 3000+ RPM with very light throttle.
Would you have a look into code to see if this can be solved as S2000. I knew S2000 and TSX shares very similar DBW logic by your statement somewhere on forum.

Let's see if Mr .Hondata or Spunkster can have a look on this issue or not?

If the AT controller uses throttle pedal to determine shift points, then by changing the table you're effectively getting more pedal for the same plate position, so the AT controller thinks there is more load, and shifts later.

I understood your statement.

Your statement is the guess from phenomenon I provided, the guess is quite reasonable. this also can explain why stock throttle map is 1:1. Changing the map won't impact MT tranny.

So my question is is there any alternative way to let me achieve my target, to smooth power surge/spike in the beginning of first 5% to 10% of pedal position. as you know 1:1 pedal to plate is too aggressive and at same time torque converter also bring another torque surge.

I don't think there is a way without affecting the AT controller. Retarding ignition might help, but it would be hard to isolate that from normal running.
