S2000 MY 07 CEL Error P2101

Post by NoS »

Hello,

I'm owner of a 2007 S2000. I was running on a Spoon DBW Throttle Body for about 7 years, until the last days.

The car started to close the Throttle Body above 8000 rpms and blink a CEL Error P2101 (as many others).

After this, i thought that the Spoon TB was kind of "dead", so I've changed my Throttle body to a TSX (J37) one without any luck.

Before some hours, i've changed it again to the Stock TB, but again the error is there after 8000-8300 rpm.

All connectors from the Throttle Actuator module to the Throttle Body are checked and they are plugged in properly.

I've also changed intake hoses and the hole CAI system too.

I'm running the latest Hondata Flashpro firmware.

It's not possible at the moment to return the ECU to stock because i'm running on RDX Injectors.

Do you have any thoughts on how to fix this issue? I've searched through many forums and i saw many owners has similar issues, but noone wrote any working solution.

Have you followed the troubleshooting steps in the factory service manual?

Try adjusting the small hex screw at the throttle body. You may need to increase or decrease minimum plate angle.

Could you please tell me which are those steps?

I've tried calibrating the Throttle Body through Honda's Computer System in my local Dealer but it didn't help.

I don't think that it should solve the problem, because i have the same problem with 3 different throttle bodies which were working perfectly.

I cannot post these pages from the manual, but you may be able to find them online, or purchase short term access to the Honda service express website to be able to view them.
