Launch compensation

Post by gotslicks »

Kpro 4. Traction control. Honda Insight drag car.

just installed a traction control on my car. This will only be used for drag racing. My question is about the launch compensation table.

If I set it up and want to use the table as my only traction control , what setting position does the knob need to be set to?

i assume the launch control shuts off at the mph I use in the last Columns right? It then goes to the slip tables and knob position?

For a low hp drag only car should i even set up
The slip tables or should I basically disable them and concentrate on the launch compensation.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Launch compensation allows additional wheel slip when launching, so you will need everything setup in TC, including target slip tables. I'd start with the FWD drag configuration and go from there. A good starting target slip is around 2-4%.

Thanks for the quick reply hondata.
When the launch compensation is enabled how does it reduce front wheel speed. Is it done by rev limiter or timing.

Launch compensation allows additional wheel spin when launching. It doesn't change the way traction control works.
