TC with other management system

Post by BEKA-BEKA »

I have additional maps for fuel and ignition table with O2 voltage as the load index with the engine management I have. Can I use an O2 sensor 0-5voltage input from this ECU with Hondata Traction Control 0-5v output?

That is a question you need to ask the other management system. The TC can provide a 0-5V signal for slip.

For Honda Civic 2006+, Do we use the Active Wheel Speed Sensor Wiring method, where we cut -'ve wire, strip and join to the Traction Control module input?

Yes, the 06 Civic has active sensors.

Hence, We only need to cut 4 wires on the ABS controller harness, i.e. FL-GND, FR-GND, RL-GND and RR-GND, right? And connect the FL-GND that has been cut to FL- and FL+ of the Hondata TC wiring with no polarity? And do the same with the other three cut cables, right?

I was using the connector wiring on the reference on the help file, where it uses all the + and - of the wheel sensor wiring. I've cut a couple of + cables till I realized only the -GND cables would be used.

BTW, Can we use the IGN1+ on the ABS Controller harness for the power?

It is best to use the power and grounds at the ECU to avoid ground loops and voltage offsets.

With the 0-5v analog output from the Hondata TC orange wire, How can we relate this to the Slip (%)?
Does this mean increase in the analog voltage output also mean increase on the Slip (%)?

You can configure the output voltage in the software. The output voltage is proportional to over slip (not slip).

Can we still use the traction switch if the traction control is used with other standalone ecu? Do you have any suggestions on how to connect them together?

I would also like to connect hondata tc to aftermarket ecu.
This ecu can only cut spark if given a signal as to when it should cut. And it can cut for a predetermined duration.
But it cannot sense any difference between 1v and 5v from hondata tc.
Can the hondata tc perhaps pulse this output in relation to the amount of spark cut required based on slip read?
Or is there another way of this working?

No, this is not possible.

This system looks intriguing. I have a 2006 S2000 with a Rotrex that runs an AEM Infinity series 5. Will this system work with that ECU?
