Yeah the knock are still happening in pretty much the same area. How much gas do you have left in the tank? Would you be willing to move up to 89 octane, or are you set on running 87? Either way, it would be good to see a tank of at least 89 to see if the knock goes away or not. I don't want to keep lugging down the ignition if we don't have to is all. But let me know.

Ok I see bro yeah so currently got like 248 miles on the car on 87 but I don't plan on putting 89 because of gas prices 😅 but I will once I'm empty to see if there is any differences.

Pretty similar knock pattern, so I made some adjustments for it. We'll see how it looks in this next one. We'll tune it while you have 89 in there, then when you switch back to 87 we see how it looks. So take this one for a spin when you can. Everything else looks great, just chasing the knock in small increments so we can find the threshold.

Going to upload map to car now but when you say knock do you mean a rod knock or what ? Not sure , if you can clarify I would appreciate it

Not a rod knock no. Cylinder knock is from pre-ignition of the combustion mixture, or an uneven burn. With such low octane, the ignition needs a lot of work to stop this from happening. I don't know if the R18 requires 91 or higher, you'd have to check your fuel door or owners manual. If it does recommend 91 or higher, then that is part of the issue. With lower octane it raises the risk of knock. A few knock are no big deal, but yours has a few areas where it's common and we want to stop that.

Here is a little video on it if you're more curious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZysyokEU60&t=172s

They both look good. The one with two knock didn't record the knock, so they happened while not recording. The one with a single knock actually happened while you were decelerating and you blipped the throttle before putting it into another gear so that's no big deal. Keep testing it out and we'll see how it looks. It seems like we're making some progress at least.

Both look good, one is knock free and the other datalog had one. Make another datalog when you have time so we can see any trends. It looks like we might be on the right track though.
