Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone's ever swapped the cams from the k24z3 in the 2009-2014 tsx into their 2008-2012 accord. I've done some pretty exhaustive research on this topic and the only major difference I'm aware of is the duration of the vtec timing. 45 degrees in the tsx z3 vs 25 degrees in the accord z3... It would be nice to benefit from that boost in power in my car. I have a full timing chain assembly in the mail so I figure, since the head is only a few steps from coming off, I'll do some extras while I'm at it like polishing the head's intake runners (the steel is rough from the factory, at least on mine), new headstuds, new gasket etc. Reliable, factory sourced power upgrades are my path. Not as interested in aftermarket bits. Any input is greatly appreciated. My main questions:
1) Can I reflash my Accord's computer to work with the tsx cams?
2) Will the difference in compression ratio impact reliability?
3) Are there any potentially more intelligent/reliable cam swaps for the 8th gen k24z3 accord?
Thanks ya'll. Picture for attention. That's her!

I'm sorry, but Hondata does not offer anything that will work on your vehicle. I would advise against this kind of swap without a means to tune it.

Ok, sure. Thank you. I wish there were more support. It's a nice platform.
Is there any software that you'd recommend for changing camshaft timing values? Thanks again.
